PeriodTracker

Privacy Policy

Effective: July 16, 2026

Our privacy commitment to you

PeriodTracker was built with one guiding principle: your most intimate health data belongs to you and only you. All of your personal cycle data, symptoms, moods, and health logs are stored locally on your device. We never share, sell, or transfer your personal health information to anyone. The app uses minimal third-party services solely for app improvement and to support the free version through ads.

Information we collect

Your personal health data stays on your device.

All data you enter — including your name, date of birth, cycle information, symptoms, moods, weight, temperature, sleep, water intake, and daily notes — is stored locally on your device. This personal health data is never uploaded, synced, or transmitted to any server.

However, the app does use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, which may automatically collect basic technical information such as:

This technical data is anonymized and aggregated. It helps us understand how the app is used and identify crashes so we can improve your experience. None of your personal health data — cycles, symptoms, moods, logs, or any information you enter — is ever included in this technical data.

What data stays on your device

When you use PeriodTracker, the following information is stored exclusively on your iPhone:

None of this data is accessible to us, to any third party, or to anyone other than you.

Third-party services

PeriodTracker uses the following third-party services to improve app quality and support the free version. None of these services have access to your personal health data (cycles, symptoms, moods, logs, or any information you enter in the app).

Please refer to the linked privacy policies above for detailed information on how each service handles data. We encourage you to review them.

Important: Your personal health data (period dates, symptoms, moods, cycle logs, weight, temperature, sleep, water intake, and notes) is never shared with any of these services. They only receive anonymous technical and usage data.

Notifications

PeriodTracker can send you local notifications to remind you of your upcoming period. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device using the iOS local notification system. No notification data is sent to any server — Apple's push notification service is not used.

You choose when and whether to receive reminders. Notification permissions can be granted or revoked at any time through iOS Settings.

Data sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal health data with anyone. Your cycle information, symptoms, moods, and all health logs you enter remain exclusively on your device.

Only anonymized, aggregated technical data (such as crash reports and general usage statistics) is shared with our third-party service providers as described above, solely to improve app quality and serve ads. This data cannot be used to identify you personally. There are no data brokers, no partnerships for data exchange, and no transfer of your health information to any external party.

Opt-out rights

You can stop all data collection by the third-party services by uninstalling the app from your device. While the app is installed, you can also limit ad tracking by going to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and disabling the option for PeriodTracker.

To request deletion of any data that may have been collected by Firebase or AdMob, please contact us at the email address below.

Data retention and deletion

All personal health data is retained locally on your device for as long as the app is installed. PeriodTracker does not maintain any server-side records of your health information.

Anonymized technical data collected by Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics is retained according to Google's standard data retention policies.

To permanently delete all local data, simply uninstall the app from your iPhone. If you would like to request deletion of any data held by our third-party services, please contact: attiq.ios.developer@gmail.com

Children's privacy

PeriodTracker is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. The third-party services used by the app (Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and AdMob) are not directed at children either.

If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has been using the app, they may contact us and we will take appropriate steps. Parents can also uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data from the device.

Security

Your personal health data is protected by the security mechanisms built into iOS itself, including device encryption, passcode protection, and Face ID or Touch ID when enabled on your iPhone. Since your health data is stored locally and never transmitted over a network, it is not exposed to the risks associated with server breaches or cloud storage vulnerabilities.

The third-party services we use (Firebase and AdMob) employ their own industry-standard security measures to protect the anonymized technical data they process. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for details.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. When changes are made, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. If any future update materially changes how your data is handled, we will make it clearly visible within the app. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Your consent

By using PeriodTracker, you consent to the collection and use of information as outlined in this Privacy Policy. Your personal health data remains on your device — the anonymized technical data collected by our third-party services is used solely to improve your experience and support the free version of the app.
