This Privacy Policy applies to the English Learning with AI mobile application (the "Application"). The Application is provided as an independent educational service and is intended for use "AS IS".

1. Information We Collect and Process

We believe in data minimization. The Application collects only the essential information needed to provide a personalized language-learning experience.

A. User Preferences & Setup Data
During initial onboarding, you may provide preferences such as your English proficiency level, native language, primary learning goals, daily commitment times, and reminder schedules. This data is stored locally on your device to personalize your experience.

B. User-Generated Learning Content
The Application stores your saved vocabulary terms, flashcard mastery history, daily usage streaks, and practice statistics locally on your device.

C. Voice and Pronunciation Data
To evaluate your pronunciation accuracy (0–100%), the Application processes short audio samples recorded through your device’s microphone.

• Voice data is converted to text and analyzed using on-device or cloud-based speech recognition frameworks.
• Your voice recordings are processed in real-time and are never permanently stored on external servers, sold, or used for voice-profiling purposes.

2. Strict No-Data-Selling & No-Advertising Policy

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information, text conversations, or voice data with any third parties for marketing, advertising, or profiling purposes.

Any data processed by external service providers (such as Google Gemini for AI responses) is transmitted strictly and exclusively to fulfill core app functionality, such as generating chat replies or evaluating speech accuracy.

3. AI Chat & Translation Processing

Interactive AI chat sessions, grammar corrections, and language translations are powered by third-party artificial intelligence infrastructure, including the Google Gemini API.

• Data Transmission: Text messages you type or speak during AI chat sessions are securely transmitted to third-party AI APIs solely to generate immediate conversational responses, translations, and explanations.
• Privacy Protection: We do not attach personal identifiers (such as your email address, real name, or device ID) to the prompts sent to AI provider APIs.
• Model Training: Your private chat conversations and speech inputs are not used by us to train public or commercial AI models.

4. Subscriptions & Payment Information

If you choose to purchase an optional Pro subscription, all financial transactions and payment processing are managed directly by Apple (via App Store In-App Purchases) or Google (via Google Play Billing).

We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card details, banking credentials, or billing address. We only receive anonymized transaction receipts to confirm active subscription status.

5. Notifications & Reminders

If you enable daily practice reminders, the Application schedules local notifications directly on your device based on your chosen time. We do not use external push notification servers to track your location or send marketing pop-ups.

6. Third-Party Services

The Application may integrate third-party software development kits (SDKs) to maintain operational performance and service quality:

• Google Gemini API & Speech Recognition: For generating conversational AI responses and processing voice inputs.
• Apple App Store / Google Play APIs: For processing digital subscription receipts and restoring purchases.
• Crash Reporting & Performance Analytics: Anonymized, non-personally identifiable diagnostic reports (such as system crash logs) may be analyzed to identify bugs and improve stability.

7. Data Storage, Security, and Retention

Because your learning progress, saved vocabulary, and setup preferences reside locally on your mobile device, you remain in control of your data.

• We do not host or maintain cloud-based user databases containing your private learning content.
• Uninstalling the Application permanently deletes all locally stored preferences, vocabulary banks, and progress records from your device.
• While no method of electronic transmission or local storage is 100% secure, we rely on standard platform-level security mechanisms provided by iOS and Android to safeguard local app storage.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Application is designed for general audiences and does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take immediate corrective measures.
